The Community Involvement Team Yes! (citY!) began in February 2001. Through the San Francisco Pretrial Diversion Project, Inc. and its Project 20 and Project 22 programs, participants can work off fines and court obligations through visible community improvement projects.

Using equipment and supplies provided by DPW, the citY! crew removes graffiti on mail and utility boxes and paints over “tagged” storefronts and trash cans.  They also pick up trash, sweep sidewalks and install dog litter bag holders.
