When do I have to turn in my timesheet?
Timesheets and payments must be completed and returned to our office one week before the PR date, or a $20 late fee will be charged.

Do you give extensions for DPT/SFMTA cases?
Continuations are given at the discretion of Project 20 with supervisor approval, if at least half of the contract is completed and the User Fee is paid in full. An extension is $10 for one additional month.

How do I get clearance for my registration?
Once you have completed all of your community service hours and your User Fee is paid in full, then a verification form will be issued to you. You must take the form to DPT (SFMTA) to get an abstract (no fee) and then take it to the DMV.

What if my car is in tow?
If your vehicle has been towed, you must finish your community service hours or pay the fees and fines in full before receiving a release. You will also need a verification form.

Can I do Project 20 as many times as I want?
Yes, unless you have passed $250 or more than 10 tickets on one vehicle for the year, then you will have to pay half of the fine and work off the remainder in community service hours.

I am late turning in my paperwork, what do I do?
You can bring your paperwork into our office and we check with DPT (SFMTA) to see if they will let us clear the case. There will be a $20 late fee.

Can I get an extension on a Traffic Case?
No. Extensions are only given by the Court. You must appear at your Court date to request an extension.

Do I have to appear if I finish everything on time?
No, you do not have to appear in Court. We will send a report on your behalf.

This is holding up my license, what do I do?
Upon completion, you will have to take a verification form to 850 Bryant, room 101 and get an abstract (fee) to take to the DMV.

I have finished my hours, but I am late. What do I do?
You must add yourself to the calendar at 850 Bryant, room 101. They will schedule a new court date. In the event that room 101 issues a letter for our office to accept the hours and payment and clear the case, we will issue a verification form that you must take back to them.
